The 4 IUMC partners are government institutions and rank in the top 1% of universities worldwide.  For over 30 years the IUMC has been accepting international students onto their programmes. The overseeing committee of the IUMC consortium consists of the Dean of the 4 medical schools within the partner universities.

STUDYING MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY IN IRELAND

LIVING IN IRELAND

IUMC Entry Requirements

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

5 Year Programme – 36 points to include 3 HL subjects with Chemistry and at least one other science subject (Physics, Biology or Maths).  The third science subject can be presented at SL.

6 Year Programme – Students who fall below the above requirements will be considered for the 6 year programme

A-Levels

5 Year Programme – A A A is the minimum entry standard (including Chemistry and at least one other science subject)

6 Year Programme – Students who fall below the above requirements will be considered for the 6 year programme

Other Qualifications (e.g AP, SAT, HKDSE, ATAR, ILC, STPM, CAPE)

English Language Requirements

IELTS – 6.5 (minimum individual sections 6.5)

TOEFL –  90 (minimum – Listening 23 / Reading 21 / Speaking 22 / Writing 23)

Exemption: In certain cases students will be exempt from IELTS or TOEFL if the can provide alternative proof of English proficiency. Approval is required by Medical School admissions.

MMI Interviews :  Students must also pass an admissions interview to be considered for a place on the programme.
