Buckingham Medical College
The University of Buckingham Medical School is a great choice for students interested in applying to a private medical school in the UK. Especially having received GMC accreditation in May 2019. The course is specially designed to tailor to each student with their own strengths and weaknesses, with phase 1 of the course consisting of an integrated, systems based learning approach. In later years, phase 2 focuses on intensive work with patients and doctors in clinical environments, structured by themed blocks. In feedback students have said the structured exposure to all aspects of medicine in both the community and hospital is insightful and fulfilling.
The university also offers a passionate student body where many students say they feel part of a family, with guaranteed on campus accommodation. Students will work amongst partnered hospitals including Milton Keynes University Hospital, St Andrews Hospital in Northampton and South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, providing students with a broad patient demographic to study and learn from.
